Conditions and Treatment

Cervical Spondylosis
Cervical spondylosis is a general term for age-related wear and tear affecting the spinal bones in your neck.
When symptoms do occur, they typically include pain and stiffness in the neck.
Sometimes, cervical spondylosis results in a narrowing of the space between the spinal bones and results in joint compression and friction causing pain and stiffness.

Our approach

We evaluate the level of stiffness and muscle weakness and based on the same we plan treatment in form of joint mobilization, muscle activation and strengthening.
We also correct postural changes, which might be contributing to the mal-alignment of the spinal bones.

Wry neck
This is a condition where one or more neck spinal joints are locked and movement of the neck is very painful and unable to perform any functional activities without pain. This happens when the cartilage called menscoid, is caught between the joint.
This then pinches when you move the neck to look up and turning movements of the neck. Most people will wake up with this or it will happen after a sudden movement.

Our approach

We help you to unlock the neck spinal joint by joint mobilization or thrust manipulation followed by gentle neck exercises.
Icing and anti-inflammatory drugs would help in hastening the treatment regime.

Nerve impingement/Pinched nerve
A pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues, such as bones, cartilage, muscles, tendons or herniated disc. This pressure disrupts the nerve’s function, causing sharp, aching or burning pain radiating to the arm. It may also cause numbness, tingling, pins and needles sensations, and also muscle weakness in the hand.

Our approach

We help you to decrease the pressure on the nerve by joint mobilization, soft tissue release along with nerve mobilisation exercises to reduce pain initially. This would be followed by toning program to prevent the reoccurring of the same.
Hot fermentation and anti-inflammatory drugs would help in hastening the treatment regime.

Whiplash
Whiplash typically occurs when your head is forcefully and quickly thrown backward and then forward. This motion can injure bones in the spine, disks between the bones, ligaments, muscles, nerves and other tissues of the neck.
Whiplash is commonly caused by rear-end car accidents but can also result from sports accidents, physical abuse and other types of traumas, such as a fall.
Signs and symptoms are neck pain and stiffness, loss of range of motion in the neck, headaches, tingling or numbness in the arms, dizziness.

Our approach

We help you to reduce and manage your pain with joint mobilization, thrust manipulation, soft tissue release and a gentle exercise program, eventually increasing the range and reducing stiffness of the neck.
Icing and muscle relaxant drugs would help in hastening the treatment regime.

Spinal headache
The pain caused by a cervicogenic/spinal headache begins in the neck and the back of the head and spreads towards the front of the head. People may confuse cervicogenic headaches with migraines and tension headaches.
Headaches may result from structural problems in the neck and are often due to problems with the upper neck spinal bones. You may have face pain, eye pain and neck pain along with the headaches

Our approach

We use different manoeuver like mobilization, muscle strengthening and gentle execises.
Advice for postural correction helps to reduce stress on the spinal bones and thus reduce the pain.
